United Way Combined Federal Campaign

AWS filed our application, provided all required documentation during the online process/ Our application, was accepted by CFC, as a Federation member of the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. We paid the required registration fee to our local United Way as was required by Congressional Budget Office.

Unfortunately, we received a message from UW Eastern Panhandle that they lost Federation status this year. With the CBO changes and new application fees for non-profits that had to be paid as part of the application process, a number of our local non-profit organizations did not apply. CFC requires at least 15 non-profits approved charities. Our local UW was unable to obtain 15 approved charities so was not accepted as a Federation.

It’s unfortunate that the process has changed so dramatically this campaign year that a number of non-profits in our area felt they could not participate. We will certainly miss the support of folks like  through CFC but hope you would consider a donation directly to our organization.
