services for abandoned, surrendered and abandoned, neglected abused and unwanted
dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. You’ll find animals for adoption, resources, volunteer
opportunities and much more in our site.

ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY INDOOR YARD SALE ON SEPTEMBER 1st.
The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County is having their annual Indoor Yard
Sale on Saturday, Sept. 1st from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Zion Episcopal Church Parish
House in Charles Town, located at 221 East Washington St. Come check out the large
variety of items and help less fortunate cats and dogs in our area. All proceeds
will benefit the homeless pets waiting for adoption at the Animal Welfare Society
shelter on Leetown Pike, near the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. The Animal Welfare
Society of Jefferson County is a non-profit no kill shelter celebrating over 66 years
